Lindy Shelmerdine is passionate about charity adventures and will take part in her 10th Coastrek on the Mornington Peninsula this year!
She and her adult children Daisy and Marigold have supported Coastrek through the Fred Hollows and Beyond Blue partnerships and now with the Heart Foundation – a cause that has a deep family connection. Her parents, Ross Shelmerdine and Lady Southey, were both committed to community service having led the Heart Foundation’s first campaign to raise one million pounds back in the 1960s.
Lindy’s passion for helping others was instilled in her from a young age. In addition to her philanthropic work with the Myer Foundation, Lindy is an experienced NFP and Company Director with a strong focus on sustainable outcomes and passion for regenerative farming.
Continuing the family philanthropic legacy and spirit of adventure, Lindy will be cheered from the sidelines by her granddaughter Lucy in the support crew – a Coastrekker of the future!
